BBC News - List of facilities 'vital to US security' leaked

A long list of key facilities around the world that the US describes as vital to its national security has been released by Wikileaks.

In February 2009 the State Department asked all US missions abroad to list all installations whose loss could critically affect US national security

What could be the most ironic moment in our times and the saddest to be looked back on by our survives would be when the very freedoms we Cherish facilitate the ultimate loss of of freedom for much of Humanity. We must help each other to let go of any principal or idea that is leading Us towards destruction. Any doubt in our beliefs that is not spoken in these times may forever go unspoken. My doubt is that any nation is truly free. My concern is that Humanity may never achieve freedom.

The latest attack was carried out by two suicide bombers and targeted a local administration compound in Ghalalnai, the main town in Mohmand, about 175km (110 miles) north-west of the capital Islamabad.

More than 100 people were said to be in the compound, where talks were taking place between government officials, tribal elders and local anti-Taliban groups.

If we do not listen to our quietest voices whispering over the screams of the desperate we will not hear the truth. Soon only the frightened and desperate will be speaking with bombs and guns and hatred. But perhaps some will listen after Earth has mourned and life moves patiently onward. Some who held their breaths and bore the hardships of tremendous upheaval will remember. What balance will be left should afford us time to reflect. If histories remain intact to ponder, perhaps those voices then can be heard and understood.
