I believe God Is.

I read today that Stephen William Hawking, CH, CBE, FRS, FRSA has stated that he no longer believes that GOD created the Universe. I understand his point of view and the need to clarify it. I tend to agree to a point with the inevitability of this Universe, given the conditions that resulted in what I call the pop (like bubblegum) and Professor Hawking and most call the Big Bang.

Where I disagree might be in what I believe creation is and where potential comes from. Maybe, in the beginning was the potential and the potential was with GOD and the Potential was GOD; to steal a phrase. Humanity and perhaps billions of sentient races exist or have existed or will exist, in this one galaxy alone, because of potential being realized. We are that that is and we came from that that was. ...

I am considering the possibility that GOD is the continuum of the potential that has lead to reality knowing itself. Are we not always becoming what we will be in every moment? Perhaps GOD is the continuum and continuity of the becoming of GOD. We are not what we have been. We are always this new thing. Perhaps the Potential for the future passes through us like fire and water and air and is life becoming life in perpetuity as long as truth and the GOD Potential exists....

As humanity continues to learn from our observations, our potential for survival depends on what we do with what we learn. We accumulate knowledge in stories then in images that become words and letters and now we have books and disks filled with information and stories and even some wisdom. Is it possible that some of the accumulated information will help us to realise our potential? I believe in GOD but I do not endorse a religion because some of the accumulated words have been manipulated by men who either could not deal with the truth or who simply refused to see the Potential beyond prejudices and misconceptions. The worst of these men chose to seek control of Humanity rather than pass on the truth as it was told and then written.

The more I learn and see of the universe through scientific advances the more I understand what was the truth I heard and read from The Bible. It is not the Holy Bible to me any more as it is not truly whole any more. But The Bible is the Potential, in its true form, to be a transforming and enlightening force where ever it exists in the core of beings who gather its pages and make it so. Perhaps such a thing exists in millions of worlds and has been used by ones seeking power and by ones preserving the Potential of life with wisdom...

Perhaps the past, present and future Universe is all a part of what we are. It may be most correct to address our existence and that of the Universe by including our history and potential because as soon as one says "I am" that one is not exactly. I was, am, will be, me. See? It's a point of view that I feel has always had validity. But now it may even be provable, if some of our science is to be believed. Perhaps we are, have been, will be the truth...

Blessed be the potential of or Universe
Blessed be Humanity
Blessed be our neighbors throughout the universe.
Amen
Let it be so.
