THE EVƎNT is not another "sap opera"

I decided if I determined that the new NBC series THE EVƎNT was based on the same formula as Lost and the X-files I would not watch it past the point of that determination. So far I am hopeful that this new show will not be another "sap opera". The first episode was a bit irritating because of a fractured story line but it was effective and presented me with enough solid "evidence" to engage my mind and leave me determined to watch the next offering.

FROM-The Event (TV series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:The series is a thriller, love story, and mystery with an element of science fiction.^[22] Producers promised timely answers to mysteries, with some answers provided as early as the second episode.^[22][23] Executive producer Evan Katz stated that "everything is designed to answer questions so you're not frustrated or feeling like we're making it up as we go along" and the writers intend to keep the viewers guessing in a "fair way."^[23]

I have been entertaining the idea that the events on September the eleventh two thousand and one where altered and or augmented and or manipulated by powerful persons and or entities according to at least one specific agenda. The ideas presented in THE EVƎNT ...have the potential to open just such a possibility for exploration. While this new show provides a degree of plausible dependability to any agency that may have participated in the manipulation of 911 events, it also allows for an intelligent examination of such interventions and or manipulations.

One scenario I had envisioned involves an intervention that allowed the towers to be struck but prevented a more catastrophic outcome by facilitating a control demolition of the towers as has been witnessed and documented. Why allow the attack? I propose that a frustrated attempt would have lead to an even more ambitious and harder to control attack taking place. Why bring down the buildings with control demolition? I believe that even though the buildings proved able to maintain integrity once the demolition measures had been taken, it was necessary to go ahead in order to destroy the evidence of the preparations.

Of course as with any thing political in our current state of government it was necessary to allow certain boons to cooperating entities in order to gain said cooperations. Thus the demolition of the third building and its controversial and potentially damaging contents. Thus the permitted insurance fraud . Thus a laundry list of sins and liberties are overlooked and spun quietly out of our collective consciousness.
